I will start with the build I release back in 2009 of which I have been asked about over a thousand times. Because of this I build an updated / revised version of this model. For me there where a couple of reasons. First of all I thought it would be nice to have this beauty sitting in my house again. Also did I realize I could do so much better since 2009 and I wanted to have instructions for it available as well.
Here are just some pictures with a limited description and the video. To learn more about this creation visit me at MOCpages.com, Flickr.com or YouTube.com.
With the hood opened one can clearly see the inline 6 cylinder engine with a displacement of 906 cu. in. (14.9 L). The horsepower range is from 455 up to 505 HP and this engine has a torque range from 1550 to 1750. Just some details that do not influence the performances of this truck model.
One other major improvement is the battery box accessibility as well as the location of the on/off switch. I sticked to the battery box with 6x AA batteries. Building US Truck T2 I was more limited with solutions then I am now. With the original US Truck T2 to replace the batteries the entire roof had to be removed together with the sleepers back side. For the on/off switch I installed a complex mechanism that needed small doors to operate the switch. As complex as it sounds it really was and I was never happy with this solution.
Just another picture for me to show off...
